Heart Blower
Here's an image I intended to do for valentines day but I never seem to get holiday cards out on time. I did a few versions with different color ways. The first color version is how it is actually painted (in watercolor on arches paper). The studies I did originally were black and white with only the hearts in red.
I'm not sure which one I prefer, any thoughts??

Definitely like the colored, first one better. Nice illustration!
I agree, it's nice and sunny outside in the first one. Really cool idea.
At risk of being a copy - cat, I also prefer the coloured version because the b/w one is very stark and emphasises the red hearts in a rather sanguine way (bloody rather than romantic:-) ) but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Lee, I like the colored one too. I am curious about your comment on the black and white being the watercolor painted one vs. the color. Did you overlay the color onto the black and white? Process?
