figure painting

I don't post a lot of the more realistic work I do, but I thought I might start. I love drawing/painting the figure. Here's a quick effort in watercolor. It's nice to do these, because you get to relax and not think too much about storytelling (which is HARD)...

I like this. It doesn't look too realistic because the pose is so rubbery, and it does actually somehow seem to communicate story where story is unlikely... And the lighting just rocks!

Thanks for the comments. Maybe now I'll get inspired to post all the more realistic work. I'm doing another figure painting tonight which should be fun.
